What is Official Portal of Government of Goa all about?

The portal is a single point of access for the G2B & G2C transactions offered by Government of Goa through its constituent departments. The portal aims at educating the citizens and businesses with access to information. It also educates the citizens, businesses in the state about their rights, benefits and schemes offered by the Government as well as eligibility requirements for availing these benefits.

What are the different services provided?

The services provided as of now are as follows:

1.Collection of house tax
2.Collection of lease rent
3.Collection of signboard tax
4.Collection of house and light tax
5.Collection of trade license renewal fee
6.Issue of Form I & XIV (for reference only, actual service will be provided through Citizen Service Centre)
7.Issue of copy of Form ‘D’ & ‘B’ (for reference only, actual service will be provided through Citizen Service Centre)

How can I avail these services?

In order to avail these services, kindly first register to the portal. After regisration, you’ll get your Login ID & password. Once you have logged-in, select the department & the required service(s) you want to avail.

What are the different payment options available?

This portal provides the user with 3 payment options, namely- Credit Card, Debit Card & Direct Debit (Internet Banking). As of now, we have taken up only the credit card option. We are exploring on other 2 options.

What types of cards can i use for payments?

This portal provides the options of clearing payments through both VISA and Master Cards.

How can I view all my previous transcations?

Yes, you can view all your previous transactions. For this you have to login with your Login ID and Password and click on the link ‘View Transactions’ in the page that follows.

Can I issue certificates/pay bills on behalf of another person?

Yes, you can issue certificates and pay bills on behalf of another person provided you have all the details of that person necessary for the transaction.

I am a native of Goa but presently am out-of-station, so will I be able to issue birth certificates, death certificates, pay my taxes etc. when required?

Yes, definitely you can, provided you have the required information and you posses the means for the proper mode of payment (which, at present, is Credit Card only, Debit Card & Direct Debit will be introduced shortly).

Can I pay taxes in installments?

All the taxes can not be paid in installments. At present only House Tax and Lease Rent can be paid in installments and full payment should be made for the rest.

What if I forgot my password?

In case you forget your password, click on ‘Forgot Password?’ link provided in the ‘Sign in to your account’ section of the home page & you will be directed to the concerned page. Here you can obtain a new password based on certain security parameters that you must have provided while registration.

 

1.You have to enter your Login ID
2.Fill in the answer that you have provided in response to the security question while registering. This answer must match the exact spellings, spaces, commas etc as provided during registration. Make sure to provide same & relevant information you have given during registration or when you last updated your account. Without the correct verification information, you will not be able to obtain a new password.

 

Once the form is successfully submitted, your new password will be the default password ‘goa123’.

How do I change my password?

If you would like to change your password, sign in to your account with your current password & click on the ‘Change Password’ link on the page that follows. Follow these steps to change your password:
1.Your Login ID will be displayed by default & it cannot be changed.
2.You will be asked to type your current password. Remember this field is case-sensitive.
3.Next, you will be asked to type your ‘New Password’. Remember this field is also case-sensitive.
4.Next, you will be asked to re-type your ‘New Password’. It should exactly match the new password you have entered in the field above.
5.Click on the ‘Submit’ button to change your password & login using your new password.

How friendly is the portal?

The portal has very user-friendly design built to it. The user can easily access any of the features such as Administrative Setup, Publication & News, Important Documents,etc. from anywhere in the site as all the links are available on every page.
The form filling in state portal solution is very easy, user friendly and avoids common form filling errors (such as, ensuring all mandatory fields are entered, selecting options by checking boxes where applicable, etc.). The e-Forms are populated with the necessary information, retrieved from the appropriate backend department systems, based on the citizen/business identification information provided by the counter operators. The portal solution provides easy-to-use step-by-step guidance to fill the eForms.

How secure is the portal?

State portal is highly secured. State portal team in collaboration with VeriSign facilitates the citizens of Goa with secured flow of information over Internet. The concept of SSL certificate is introduced. All the online certificates are digitally signed by authorised departmental official so as to ensure the authenticity of the official documents issued by means of the portal.

How to enable the scripting in case it is disabled?

In the browser navigate to tools -> Internet options and enable scripting.
