Revenue Department-I & II
The Revenue Department is one of the key administrative departments of the Government of Goa and functions under the General Administration Department at the Secretariat, Porvorim. It plays a vital role in the management and regulation of land, revenue administration, and various matters connected with land and property in the State.
The Revenue Department is entrusted with a wide range of subjects under the Business of the Government of Goa (Allocation) Rules, 1987, including Land Revenue Administration, Agricultural Tenancy and Communidades, Stamps and Registration matters, Land Acquisition and Land Use, Devasthan Regulations, Disaster Management and Matters related to the Goa Rehabilitation Board.
For administrative purposes, the Revenue Department functions as the Administrative Department for the offices and authorities of Collectorate (North Goa), Collectorate (South Goa), Directorate of Settlement and Land Records (DSLR) and Goa Rehabilitation Board.
The Department also coordinates with various field offices across the State to ensure effective implementation of policies and programs related to land and revenue administration.
The primary objective of the Revenue Department is to ensure efficient management of land and revenue matters, provide transparent and citizen-friendly services, and facilitate the sustainable and lawful use of land in Goa.
