Introduction :
Chief Electoral Officer, Goa State ensures free and fair elections of Goa State Assembly and Lok Sabha in the State of Goa. Under the supervision of the Chief Electoral Officer the Goa State Assembly and Lok Sabha elections are being conducted as and when the same are announced by the Election Commission of India, New Delhi. Similarly, the Chief Electoral Officer undertakes intensive revision, summary revision, and special revision of Electoral Roll as the case may be on the announcement of the same from the Election Commission of India.
