Key Functions /Mandate of the Department : General Administration Department (GAD) is one of the key Department in the Secretariat. The Departmental functions are divided into Five Sections and each Section is headed by Section Officer who functions independently.
General Administration Department – I
Deals with Budget Provisions and other financial/accounts matters.
General Administration Department – II
Looks after Cabinet, Salaries for Ministers,Looks after facilites of Secretariat staff, Provides Computers,Telephones etc to Secretariat Departments,looks after pensions of the staff.
General Administration Department – III
Deals with Administrative and Establishment Matters of Secretariat Department/Offices.
General Administration Department – IV
Deals with Allotment of Quarters and Premises for Government Staff in around the Capital.
