Introduction about the Organization
The Goa State Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation Limited was established by the Government of Goa on 2/4/1990 under Companies Act, 1956. The Share Capital contribution of the State and the Central Government is in the ratio of 51:49 percent respectively.
The Corporation is working as State Channelizing Agency (SCA) to Four National Level Corporations namely: 1) National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC) 2) National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC) 3) National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC) 4) National Safai Karamchari Finance and Development Corporation.
The Corporation implements all the schemes of these Apex Corporations in the State of Goa.
Besides the schemes of the National Corporations, the Corporation has also formulated and implementing a low interest finance scheme for House Repair by name “Graha Suraksha” specially to cater to the need of the weaker section for repair & maintainance of their old dwelling houses. Under this Scheme, loan up to Rs.2.00 lakhs is advanced at the rate of only 4% interest.
The “Graha Suraksha” House Repair scheme is totally financed from the funds received from the State Government from time to time.
