Fugadi – Dhalo Festival!
The Fugadi - Dhalo festival organized by Directorate of Art and Culture at four different places in Goa was inaugurated by Minister for Art and Culture Shri Dayanand Mandrekar recently.The inaugural function was held at Shree Sateri Devastan, Shel, Siolim, Bardez. Minister for Cooperation Shri Pandurang Dhavalikar graced the occasion at Shree Devaki Krishna Ravalnath Mandir, Marcel.
Shri Nilesh Cabral, MLA Curchorem and Shri Rajan Naik, MLA Cuncolim graced the occasion at Shree Chandreshwar Buthnath Sausthan, Parvat, Paroda in Quepem Taluka. Shri Lavoo Mamledar, MLA Ponda attended the function at Shree Mahadev Devasthan, Saccordem, Dharbandora.
The festival was fully concurred by the cultural tradition Fugadi-Dhalo groups of Goa alongwith traditional costumes. All together 80 to 90 groups were participated at each place and around 1000 to 1200 fugadi-dhalo artists participated in the festival. Certificates were presented to all the artists at each place by the Department.
